Terms & Conditions for participation in the WSB Midnight Walk 2008

Friday, June 27th 2008 starting at Midnight

1. You must be aged 18 years or over
2. You cannot register on the night
3. You must register to take part by filling in an application form and returning to the Hospice with your registration fee. All entries will be processed in the order we receive them. Closing date for entries is 6th June 2008.
4. One cheque must be received with entry, please put name and address on the back of your cheque. Please do not send cash in the post
5. Entry forms must be returned by Friday 6th June 2008 and you will receive notification that you have been accepted within 14 days of your registration.
6. Your registration fee covers all expenses ie T-shirt, water bottle, refreshments, drinks and is not refundable
7. Funds raised from this event will be split equally between Woking & Sam Beare Hospices.
8. If you are unable to take part, please let us know as soon as possible. The sponsorship form must be returned even if it has no entries. You must not “give” your place to anyone else.
9. Only Guide Dogs on lead are accepted on the walk – no other pets or animals are permitted at the Midnight Walk or on the event route.
10. On NO account is alcohol to be bought into or consumed prior to and during the event.
11. This walk is not a race and no walkers are allowed to run or jog. No walker must past the nominated lead walker
12. Walking along public roadways at night is potentially hazardous and Woking & Sam Beare Hospices and their employees and volunteers cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, accident, loss, damage or public liability.
13. All participants should be in reasonable health and fitness
14. All participants are responsible for their own medical condition, if in any doubt about your ability to finish the WSB Midnight Walk, please consult your doctor prior to commencing your exercise programme
15. You are not permitted to use any of the sponsorship money you raise to pay for your expenses. All sponsorship money given to you must pass directly to Woking & Sam Beare Hospices.
